RESPONSIBLE CONDUCT OF GAMBLING POLICY

Responsible Conduct of Gambling Policy

The City of Wollongong Tennis Club will endeavour to provide members and guests with a safe and responsible gaming environment. As a member of ClubSafe we abide by Responsible Conduct of Gambling Best Practice Guidelines. These Best Practice Guidelines represent an approach where the environment in which gambling is conducted minimises harm and meets community expectations.

The club will achieve this by ensuring that the following occurs:
Providing information on support services
Mandatory training in responsible gaming practices for all club employees
Ensuring that the following policy is fully implemented and monitored on a regular basis
Staff that are approached by a member or guest in relation to problem gaming are required by Law to act appropriately. Staff should be fully aware of the types of assistance available for problem gamblers such as the self-exclusion program, local and Government counselling services. Please remember that compliance officers may enter the club at any time and may approach staff to ensure you know the gaming policies. Any actions should be treated with the highest confidentiality and should not be discussed in front of or with any other members or directors.

As part of the clubs compliance program all bar and gaming employees have to familiarise themselves with the Clubs gaming policy. A copy of the RCG policy will be provided for staff members to read and can be accessed on the computer system or in the compliance folders in the office. As part of the program staff may be asked to carry out duties relating to compliance issues: failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action being taken.

The City of Wollongong Tennis Club practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Please Enjoy Responsibly.
